We have exchange into Royal Sea Aquarium Curacao and would like to go from there to Marriott at St Kitts.

Can anyone give me an update on the Marriott St Kitts.

Also, has anyone flown Liat Airlines between any of the Caribbean islands, or any other inter-island airlines. What is the best transportation between Curacao and St Kitts.

The major airlines from Atlanta to Curacao to St Kitts to Atlanta take you in a longggg round about way (back through Miami for example):( It seems to be the same for St Martin or other islands as well.

Just a quick word of caution about using LIAT. They are notorious for overbooking, and in that part of the world, their follow-up action and compensation is non-existent. We were scheduled to fly TAB-BGI on a direct flight on Feb 23 earlier this year; flight was overbooked, and their only solution for 12 people stranded was to come back tomorrow and stand-by for the same flight (they only have one flight a day). We had to make a connection back to Canada so this would not work for us. The agent simply shrugged his shoulders and walked away into a back office. Ultimately, we had to walk over to an independent travel agent who routed us thru POS on our own dime, and $800 later we made it to BGI very late that night. We filed a claim with LIAT, but a fat lot of good that did! No response, and every time I tried to call them their line was either permanently busy or I got the runaround. I didn't get one dime back from them for something that I would have been clearly reimbursed for if I used an American, Canadian or Western European airline. Fortunately, I also contacted my credit card company to file a complaint, and I was able to get my original purchase amount back because they never fulfilled their part of the sales contract. Ultimately I was in the hole only for about $300. But overall, we've vowed never to fly LIAT again unless we have loads of time on our hands.

Anyway, if you fly LIAT, remember that you are in a part of the world where US and EU rules do not apply, so be prepared to be flexible with your plans. As long as you do not have another connection pushing you, and you can tolerate island-time, you'll survive their shenanigans.

Thanks so much for your help. We are leary because they are the only airlines CUR to St Kitts and they only fly that route Sun and Mon...so we are giving up the idea of going on to St kitts. Will try to stay in CUR for 2 wks. We hate to travel for just one week!
