Thanksgiving dinner at Massanutten?

Any suggestions? This is our first time there, and the folks there suggested either the waterpark buffet or Traditions Family Style Dining. We've got 2 kids (5 and 6) but do have tastebuds as well. Any recommendations?

I am from the area... I would go with the buffet over Traditions. I never really liked Traditions. They dont give any choices really. Plus, it is on the other side of Harrisonburg. I would go with the resorts buffet or the Wood Grill buffet (my absolute fave in town!).

I have never been for Thanksgiving, but I just returned from Massanutten on Sunday - we were very pleasantly surprized at the buffet. There was a large variety of food and it was ALL good!! (except the desserts we didnt care for)

Resorts: Mountainside Villas, Summit at Massanutten
My grandmother was the best cook on the planet. She passed away 4 years ago and since then my grandfather swears by the Thanksgiving buffet at the Belle Meade. He makes his rounds in the afternoon to eat with us again, but he and his friends meet there and they love it! The place is not elegant by any means...kind of a social hall feel, very casual and family oriented. But if Grandaddy says it's good, it might be worth a shot.

Take I-81 and go south. Take the second exit and you can't miss it.

Enjoy your stay in Massanutten!
