Turks & Cacios - Comfort Suites -other info? - Timeshare Users Group Online Community Forums

We are doing a last minute trip to Turks & Cacios. We are scheduled to stay at Comfort Suites.

Anyone stay there? Is it ok?

Any info / things to do in Turks would be appreciated also. I've heard it is beautiful there. Should we bring snorkeling equipment or do you have to go on a boat trip to snorkel?

Ideas for cheap places to eat?

This is really a trip I shouldn't be taking now - due to other vk's planned this year and layoffs pending at work. But you only live once right?

I stayed there about 8 years ago..just spent a couple of nights but it was fine. Not beachfront but we had a good time anyway. It was brand new then.

We were in T&C 2 years ago. The snorkeling is great right off the beach at Coral Gardens, White House Beach, and Smiths Reef. Some of the links below should have a map, if not any dive or snorkel shop will have one. You should be able to Google "Provo snorkel map" under images and find one. Coral Gardens and White House reefs are right on Grace Bay. We stayed at the Coral Gardens TS and the reef was no more than 20 feet off shore. White House Beach is a short walk from Coral Gardens. There are some more remote off-beach snorkeling sites but you will need a 4WD for them. There are many tours also.

I was there in June at Villa Renissance. The Comfort Suites is located about 500 yards from the beach if it was the one I saw driving around. The Turks is NOT a cheap place to vacation and you may want to rent a car.
