Fox in Phoenix
Hi
I am assuming you mean Fox out of the Phoenix airport? If yes, I used them last summer also to go to Sedona. They do not have a booth or site directly at the terminal - you must call them when you arrive and they will send a shuttle to pick you up. Their depot is about 7 minutes off the airport. The location is not designed to impress but then again you are renting a car, not their office. They were efficient and friendly - took only 10 to 15 minutes including "show and tell" directions on the best way to get where I was going. I rented a PT Cruiser, it was in good shape and fine for our needs - there were two of us and four bags/suitcases. The directions back to the depot were easy to understand, even for myself and I am directionally challenged. I would not hesitate to use them again. Pam |

My husband uses them. None of the car rental places are at the airport anymore. They are located a short distance away at a Consolidated Car Rental Facility. Free buses leave the airport continuously and take you to the CRF. From there it's a short escalator trip to the basement where your car awaits. The killer at Sky Harbor is the taxes (as I am sure you see). You can frequently get a $13-$15 rate but the taxes quickly add that up. By the way, my husband took their PT Cruiser to Anaheim a couple of months ago. He said it is a gas HOG
and it didn't have cruise control . A few weeks later, he got to the counter and they offered him a Honda Hybrid for a couple bucks more. He took that and saved mucho moola. Especially with gas about $3.25 in Southern California (it's about $2.85 here in the Phoenix area). It ticks me off that we can't get Avis to rent us a car at $13 a day but we can go through Hotwire and get them for that price all the time.![]() |
