Massanutten points trading

Greetings,

I am not sure whether to post this on the Eastern thread, the points thread, or the exchanging thread. Hope I am in the right place to get some responses. I will not double post elsewhere.

I use my weeks account to see many, many units at Massanutten available in the coming months. When I search using my points account, searching on the weeks side,I get nothing, zip!

Anyone know why that might be?

thanks

I got the answer: Massanutten does not participate in the points program at all. Everything is weeks. They do not deposit units to make them available for points trading.

Seems a shame. Folks who are points owners will never be able to trade into this wonderful resort using their points. But on the other hand, by opting out of the points in total, their thousands of owners will not have to be pressured into "upgrading" into points for additional money.

Resorts: USA: Cypress Pointe I & II (Orlando FL), Crown Point Condos (Horseshoe Bend AR). S. Africa: Lowveld Lodge (Mpumalanga).
"Instant Exchange" Into WoodStone At Massanutten.

For 7,500 points last year, I got my brother an off-season 2BR Instant Exchange week at WoodStone At Massanutten.

Thanks Alan,

Now that is an interesting twist on the information I was told by RCI. Does any Massanutten owner out there know why this might be?

I always assumed that a points owner could search through the weeks side and see some, if not most, of the available resorts. RCI told me that I should look in the points book to see the actual resorts that particpate in the points trading.

I don't have a clue where that book might be, or even if I ever received it. I have become so spoiled doing everything online!

According to RCI, even if we have points, we willl NEVER see any Masssanutten units b/c the resort does not partipate. Alan, you must have seen a ghost!!

Thanks Marty - I see them.

Wonder why RCI posts these and other VA resorts in the Central region, when there is a perfectly good VA/Shenandoah mountain designation under Eastern?!?

OH well .... At least I now know where to find them.
