We are going to Harborside for Thanksgiving. Is there a grocery store that does the premade turkey dinners? If not, is there a place you would recommend for Thanksgiving dinner? DH always insists on a full turkey dinner for Thanksgiving, even if we are away.

Also - does Harborside (the small units) have washer & dryers?

Is it a good idea to bring a cooler of meats or do you have problems with it at the border?

Other suggestions?

Harborside--all units have washer/dryers.
Don't know about someplace with pre made dinners but my best guess is that Marketplace--the buffet in the Royal Towers would have that for dinner that night--you might e mail them and ask but I think that would be your best bet!

I bring a soft sided cooler that fits in to a separate piece of luggage with lunch meats--never had a problem==I think it must be sealed in the original packaging that it came in.
Also if you are worried get a porter for your luggage--I think they always pass those with porters faster as they know they need to get back to help others to make a living!

Great idea. I wonder if I could do put it in my carryon bay? They are not liquids right? Although I guess the ice pack won't be acceptable?

You know that is interesting--I guess the last time I did that which was just a few years ago I did carry one on that was a wine carrying bad that I put ice pack in--no one said a word--when did those liquid restrictions start?? Can't remember--but in your checked bag it is fine--I always bring a separate suitcase with all my snacks, beach toys for grandkids etc. so it is no big deal.
Hope you find that turkey dinner!

yea - I guess I'll have to do that. I normally try to do carry on's only. My daughters and I are getting pretty good packing light and carrying everything on. My daughter share a suitcase, I pack another suitcase with snacks, power cords, dvd's, dry food items, toys etc and then one with my clothes and work stuff . We hate waiting for the luggage to appear off the belt, and have been with others who didn't get their luggage till a couple of days in the trip.
