Is Sky Med worth the $$

Going out of the country X 2 in the next 5 months. Anyone with experience with Sky Med?

Patient said skymed was wise investment.

I personally have no experience with Skymed, but an elderly gentleman who was recently in my hospital used Skymed and was very pleased. He and his wife traveled to Germany for vacation. He feel and broke his hip. Skymed flew him out of Germany with a physician escort back here to Oklahoma so that he could be treated at McBride Orthopedic Hospital. He said they always purchased Skymed before traveling out of country. And after he actually had to use Skymed, he felt it was a wise investment.

I am a firm believer in buying some kind of health insurance

when travelling outside the country. I didn't use skymed... so i don't know about them, but when we travelled to russia, i broke my crown (on our first day there) the insurance paid for the trip to the dentist and it worked out great. We had to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed but that wasn't a problem. I think if you get hospitalized it works a little differently, but with a local dentist that was the only way to do it.

Good luck

Something must have changed because there is no information on the SkyMed brochure I received today about flying you back from Europe.

Spoke with an agent today and he said they would fly you back from Hawaii.

The site says US, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas, Canada and Caribbean.

I'd like to know of something when DH goes to Singapore.
