Question FlyClear

Has anyone signed up yet for FlyClear, so you can bypass long security lines? I'm guessing it only applies to domestic travel, but would be interested in hearing about members' experiences. We're going to Cancun for our annual Christmas week trip and I doubt it will have any value for the return, but will be useful for future domestic trips.

Thanks for any feedback on this.

I just checked this out and found that it only applies to a few gates and/or terminals at my home airport. So, I guess we'll have to wait until they expand the locations.

Shortcut through Customs & Immigration

On a related subject, for those who fly cross-border between the US and Canada, the NEXUS pass is a godsend. You apply, are prescreened, your fingerprints taken and your retina is scanned. Then, whenever you cross, you go straight to the NEXUS machine, it scans your retina, and you're through in 30 seconds. Compare that to the wait in line for customs and immigration which can range from 5 minutes to 90 minutes! I've had a CANPASS for over 2 years which allows me to skip the lines when I return to Canada, but the NEXUS is set up to work in both directions. Just in one direction, I've saved hours of time. I can't wait for it to work in both directions. Hubby already has his, and I should have mine by February. Can't wait!!
