Home from Alii Kai in Princeville

Just got back from Alii Kai II in Princeville.

Nice enough place, but what a din!

Back up beepers and hammering going on all day on one side of us due to construction just over the fence, and weedeating, trimmers going all day on the inside of the grounds.

It made us get up and leave early every day. When we got home about 5pm it was over. But it would start up again at 7:30 am the nest morning Monday to Friday, we were there. The beepers became our alarm clock.

We laughingly said that we will always remember Hawaii to the Music of beep, beep, beep.

What a shame..We're leaving Saturday for Alii Kai. Always enjoyed the resort previously because of the peace and quiet.

Well at least all of the weed trimming should still be done, so that portion should be quiet!

There's no hope for the construction though because by the time you get there they should just about be ready for the shingles! They were putting up the roof trusses and sheeting when we were there. We were in 10 D.

I just looked at a satellite image of Ali'i Kai and saw where Bali Hai is adding the new clubhouse/pool, etc. I am guessing the noise came from there?

Yes, I would be very upset if my memories of Kauai were tainted with the beep, beep, beep of heavy equipment.

On the other hand, I hope they get that clubhouse done! It has been going on FOREVER!. I think it has taken at least 18 months and probably another year until completion. We haven't received our MF bill with newsletter yet.
