Skiing lift tickets

Anyone know if any of the resorts offer lift ticket discounts to exchangers? Midwest or east coast resorts are what I would be looking for. Thanks.

My experience is limited solely to eastern resorts, more specifically several located in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont. In the course of a half dozen or so ski exchanges to date, I have not yet encountered any lift ticket discounts for exchangers.

That said, however, once you select and make your exchange, if you then look on line at the specific ski areas nearby, you can often find discounts. Do this in advance, however, since very often the ski areas require you to print out and hand in the discount coupon(s).

Smuggs offers a discount package called a SmuggsPass to exchangers and those who rent from owners. It costs $179 for everyone in the unit for the whole week. The discounts are:

10% off nursery
10% off lift tickets
15% off children's camps
15% off group lessons
15% off ski & snowboard rentals
20% off sport shop purchase of non-sale items

Shawnee in the Poconos offers such discounts to owners, don't know if they apply to exchangers or other guests.
