Question about Marriott's 2-for-1 Golf certificate

Can I give away my certificate?

I just received my 2-for-1 golf certificate after changing to the Marriott Premier card about 6 months ago. When reviewing the list of available golf courses, I determined that I will not be anywhere near any of those locations this year.

My uncles winter home is in Naples, and there is a course there. Can I just give him the certificate, or do they somehow check it back to me when presenting the certificate? The rules on the back say that I can't sell the certificate or it'll be void. Just wondering how they can monitor that, or if it is just a lame attempt to stop ebay auctions. Thanks for your help.

There are several reports here on people giving away their golf certificates to fellow Tuggers.

I've heard no reports of people having problems using them but who knows?

My friend was given one on this site by a fellow TUGGER. She used it last year in Palm Springs with no problem.

I'm going to Palm Springs in Jan. 2008 for my sons 30th birthday and would love to take him golfing. If anyone else out there has a 2 for 1 golf cert. that they can not use I would love to have it!
