i am thinking of using the NAME YOUR OWN PRICE on priceline for a car rental and have 2 questions.
1-when you name your own price and are accepted, does that price INCLUDE all the xtra fees and taxes to rent the car?
2-are the rental agencies ALWAYS either at the airport or have a shuttle bus which will take you to the rental agency?
thanks

You will name your own price per day. Before you accept, Priceline will tell you what the total amount is.

If you put in the airport code for the place of pickup, then it will either be on airport property or they will shuttle you to thier site.

You need to have a base price of what the going discount rate is before you bid. I always try to find the cheapest price I can from Costco. That is the price I will try to beat from Priceline. You can use other sites but Costco works best for me.

No. In order to get an idea of what the extra fees might be, check the rental website for one of the auto rentals, make a reservation, and take a look at the taxes and fees. Also, in some locations there may still be an additional fee for an extra driver.

Can't answer this one. The times I've gotten cars through Priceline they've been through Avis or Hertz and were either onsite or had shuttle service. Priceline usually uses the "big" rental companies so I don't think you'd have a problem with location.

Go to www.biddingfortravel.com before bidding on anything.Read the information carefully and check out the recent accepted bids for your airport. Then bid accordingly. Use their link to www.amazingtravel.com to book your trip so the website gets credit from Priceline for the link.
