Welk resort Escondido CA

Recently did the time share sale pitch at the resort. They were selling 180,000 points for $ 13,000. They did not mention buying a week in the , Villas on the Green, the old Villas or the new Mountian side villas that should be completed in the next few months. Could you please tell me what the two bedroom Villas onthe Green and the old Villas two bedroom week for say Feb and March are selling for on the resale market. Also can you buy Well points on the resale market ? How many points would I have to buy to book a two bedroom unit in Feb or March each year.

Nice resort. I went about 4 years ago and they didn't have Wells points then. You can buy a regular resale week, red time for about $3800 - $4200 for a 2-bedroom. I would consider all points programs before you settle on one as some points resorts offer a lot more properties than others and are much cheaper resale.

Was the 180,000 points for EOY usage or for Every Year usage? The reason I ask is that the last time I called the sales office in January 2008 they were charging around $43,000 for 300,000 annual points.

yes it was eoy. The sales person did not confirm and I forgot to ask how many points you would have to buy to use a two bedroom in prime time in the villas under construction. I estimate 300,000 points.

There are no "seasons" at the resort. As a member of the Welk Resort Platinum Points Association it doesn't matter what time you reserve as it is the same number of points all year round. All that matters is the size of the unit you want.

It takes 300,000 points to reserve a two bedroom deluxe unit in the Villas on the Green (the newer section) for a week. It takes only 240,000 points for a two bedroom unit in the old section of the resort which were originally sold as fixed week units (these are the original TS units and certain unit/weeks have been sold to the Association).
