My friend just went to a Wyndam tour and they told her that they are no longer doing the "PIC" program for properties outside of Wyndam. I have a "PIC", my Sheraton Vistana, they let me deposit with RCI, then Wyndam takes it and I get 154,000 pts for it. Well Now the salesperson said they are no longer doing it? Has anyone else had this experience.

Also, she was told that they will no longer give you bonus points with your purchase. How true is that?

Was it a "sorry, we aren't doing those things any more" or a "you'd better buy now because we won't be providing extra benefits any more soon." If it was the former, it is probably truthful. If the latter, wait and see.

A member just ask in forums.atozed.com about a developer purchased deal he is quoted. Which including 308k Bonus points.

I guess the sales has a big sale target as his/her goal to reach, so they have to get someone to buy all the points.

Bonus(developer) points are a cost savings to the developer--they get somone else to pay the maintenance fees on unsold weeks. As a resort sells out, the developer weeks go away.

PIC contracts involve buying additional Wyndham points (the minimum seems to vary --77,000 = $10K?) --, I expect that they will keep this program around for a long time!

I just don't know why they didn't offer the PIC, as that was one of the reasons I "upgraded" with them was to
- roll all of my deeds into Bonnet Creek (I had purchased 105,000pts with Nashville - yearly, and 105,000pts with Myrtle beach EOY) to "save" on Maintenance fees.
- be able to "PIC" in my Sheraton Vistana, and get 154,000 pts for it
- get "VIP"

therefore I shelled out $21,000 for 154,000 pts @ Bonnet Creek which was well over what I could have gotten more points for resale. She basically wanted the same deal I got, however that sales person wouldn't give it to her.
