Hello Folks. I own points through Wyndham (bought when they were Fairshare plus) in Sedona and would now like to rent them out given that it is clear from the TUG site that the resale value of timeshare is poor. However, as a newbie to this, it isn't clear to me how you offer points for rent. Does a client pay you for your membership details and then they make the booking (i assume not)? In which case, the only other option would seem to be that the owner makes the booking and then tries to rent it. Any advice would be most welcome.

Call FF VC, give them the buyer's account, and tell them how many points you want to transfer to the buyer, and it will be gone from your account to other.

So the buyer will be FF owner.

And you can only transfer regular points (not limited, cancelled or PIC point - it has be removed few years back).

Its really very easy. I my friend and I transfer points back and forth, as well as I have purchased points from another owner. You can also book for people using your points. I had great success on redweek.com when I couldn't go on all my hoped for vacations.

Thanks all for the swift responses. I was all for writing this timeshare off but the TUG and BBS has given me fresh hope. One other rather vague question please:

is it better to stick to the classifieds here or go out to "redweek" for example?

TIA
Mike
