ARUBA OWNERS - Big Storm Surge

There was a notice on our timeshare's website re the big storm surges in Aruba. I'm sure other owners websites have posted as well. We lost a couple of palapas and the water came all the way up the beach. It deposited sand on the beach rather than takining it away (good one!) but will cause some work. I saw a picture of sand up to the little table in one of the palapas. Just an FYI!:eek:
 
We missed you this year! Hope you had a wonderful time!

We actually were there during that time, and it was a sight to be seen, for sure! We also had palapa's down at Playa Linda and part of our beach washed out, but returned 2 days later to some degree and the rest was restored with a bobcat machine.
 
Just read on one of the Aruba sites that another consequence of this situation has been the appearance of Portugese Man o Wars washing up on the beaches....:eek:
 
Chris, I'm sure we'll see you next year. If all goes well we expect to go down for 3 months or so. We're going down, I hope:p for the month of August. We had a really good time but it was a big "different" this year :cool:

Funny Linda, we felt the exact same way...it was a bit different this year. We also had a good time, but a different time.

3 months! Now I'm jealous!
