If you use it often when you are here, get a Palmetto Pass. The cost is half that they charge each car. It doesn't expire. They just charge your credit card if you get below a certain amount. It is amazing at the number of folks who live nearby who don't have one. If you are down each year, it might be worth the effort if you can't afford the extra quarter.

Janette, I looked into a Palmetto Pass, and they have to be on the car that is registered. So it would be impracticle for rental cars. Unless, they really don't care if it is used on different cars, or if someone drives with their own car.

I just also found out that we will be charged $1 a month for administration. Oh, well. Just trying to save our wonderful tourists a few bucks. We just had dinner on Conroy's at the Marriott. We had a wonderful ocean view and someone was playing the guitar and singing Buffet songs. Life is great in the low country. High tomorrow is only going to be near 60. Today was 83 and we took the opportunity for a little pool time.

We just cancelled our Palmetto Pass because they will charge $1.00 per month for account maintenance...was a good deal but no longer.
