Mountain Laurel Resort & Spa, White Haven, PA
Does anyone have any recent experience with this property? We're considering an II "special" in early June. The reviews on public websites have been very mixed, but predominantly "avoid this place". Most of the reviews are several years old, so I'm trying to find a fresh evaluation.
There will be four senior adults ("old farts") trying to spend a quiet week with a little fishing in nearby waters. Any guidance for us? |

Can't vouch for the resort but I know the fishing is top notch! It should be rather peaceful too.
You do have 2 casinos within close proximity if you are looking for some excitement. It's been years since I've been in the place and I'm sure they have renovated since then but it was in need of it back then. I have a friend who recently did the TS tour there just to get the gifts and gave it a less than stellar review but remember she wasn't looking to buy.

I posted a review here on TUG not too long ago. The resort was okay. Nothing fancy. It was more of a family resort with a lot of activities for children. We went in the winter and had a good time. I have a few photos posted with my review.

I agree. We went there a couple of years ago. It was just an OK resort, but because we stayed there we had access to the amenities of the resort area around Lake Harmony. When we were there we read a lot, went to Lake Harmony, and also went to Knoebel's Amusement Park.
