Is there any special building we should ask for at Waterside on Hilton Head?
We are headed to Waterside on Hilton Head at the end of April. Do any of you guys have buildings that you prefer there? We will be in a three bedroom unit. I have read that building 1 does not have an elevator. Thanks in advance for your help.

It depends on what you want.
There are no bad buildings. All of them are within about a two-minute walk of the main pool and activities center. You are correct; building 1 has no elevator and is the oldest building. Building 2 is probably the quietest - no adjacent pool or street. Closest to the beach, if you plan to walk, would be buildings 2 and 3. Closest to and partially overlooking the main pool is building 6. In April, you might prefer buildings 7 or 8, which are adjacent to the smaller (but heated!) pool. One advantage of the buildings closest to the activities center, the ability to - in some units - access a wireless Internet connection, has disappeared with the installation this past winter of wireless Internet service throughout the resort. You can view a map of the resort on the TUG review page for Waterside. Click on "View All Images". |

other than bldg 1, there are not bad locations
it is a very compact resort--and any bldg is really fine. I do not care for bldg 1--older townhouse style---but some of my friends prefer it. IF you are trading into the resort, they used to pre-assign and you could see it on your RCI confirmation online.

We own a three BR in Building #2 and love this spot. It is quiet and everything is very close by. But like others have said there are no bad Buildings in Waterside unless you prefer elevators, and in that case, skip Building #1. Have a great time!! HHI is a wonderful place to visit and we can't wait for our next trip.
