I am new to this - my parents recently received a phone call from Global Equity USa in Las Vegas, telling them they had a buyer for their timeshare. All they had to do was to pay a $1000 advertising fee, which is fully refundable...they sent my parents the contract and my parent were ready to sign! I called the company and asked for refererences. The whole thing just doesn't sound right to me - there was another posting on this board about this Global Equity Company, but the terms of the offer were different. Has anybody actually SOLD their timeshare through Global Equity? Can anybody explain this tome? Looks like a scam to me....

Welcome to TUG! There are lots of ways to sell your timeshare yourself for very little money. If you pay the commission upfront to one of these companies, they have no motivation to actually sell your timeshare.

Don't do it!

For lots of info. about how to sell your timeshare, see the sticky at the top of this page.

Good luck!
