Five couples are looking to go to an all-inclusive in February '09. We are looking for a place that has lots of water sports, lots of restaurants, on a beach, lots of nightly entertainment, possibly a casino and golf or at least golf nearby. Does anyone have any suggestions on some of the places you've stayed?

Grand Velas (Puerto Vallarta) and Club Velas! The food was so good, the service was surperb and the staff was accomodating.

All inclusive Timeshares?

Are there really All Inclusive Timeshares....
Do they come with the AI part, or that an extra fee you pay on top of the week?

The AI fee is extra.

Dominican Republic - Grand Marien oasis.
Relatives just returned and were very happy with everything you've mentioned. The AI fee was not too high - I think $40/pp/per day and they were able to do it for some days and not others!

Check the Palace resorts - you can stay at one and visit all the others. Moon Palace has golf and there is also golf in Playacar. Best to buy a week off a member who has golf package. Moon and Aventura both have numerous restaurants/bars. Aventura does not really have a beach, and most people do not like to swim in Moon's beach - but it is beautiful for lounging/walking. Pools at both are great.

Cancun, Aventura Spa Palace

I have a Vip Premier membership, that includes spa treatments and unlimited golf . Very fun place, adults only I rent it to you for the members price plus booking.

Let me know if you are interested,
Sandy

For AI resorts, you pay the AI fee either per day or week. I paid $75 pp a day, however the price has gone up since.

We really enjoyed the Dreams Resort in Los Cabos. Got a package from Cheap Caribbean for 5 nites, including air. Not a swimming beach, though, but lovely pools, and the food was varied and good. Reviews on Trip Advisor are all over the place, but we liked it very much.
