Is Alaska/Horizon the primary airline you use??

I fly almost exclusively on Alaska and partners, and when I fly on partners I have the miles credited to my account.

I'm looking for similar travelers to discuss a specific situation that I believe is best handled via PM. So send me a PM if you fit that profile.

I'm not terribly knowledgeable about FF stuff, but yes, we fly pretty much exclusively Alaska. I rarely even check other fares, as we use FF miles and companion certificates for our couple of flying vacations.

We mostly use Horizon/Alaska as well - Kelowna/Seattle, then connect either to Mexico or Hawaii. If there is anything I can help you with, send me a pm.

I'm another big fan of Alaska/Horizon. The only thing that would test my loyalty are their fares to HI. From what I've seen, they aren't especially competitive, but I haven't booked an actual HI trip since they initiated that service.

I have only limited experience with partner FFM issues and have never encountered problems. But, if no one else can help, feel free to pull my chain. :-)

Use your companion certificates for Hawai'i.

Good idea! Or maybe apply miles for a "saver" ticket if available. But the companion ticket would probably be the better deal. (Unfortunately for this purpose, I usually travel "solo.")

We also use Alaska airlines mainly for a few cities on the west coast and for Puerto Vallarta or Europe so use their partners. I am planning to use FF next year for HI or use the companion certificate, if there are no FF miles. If you think I could help you, send me a PM but I don't know too much about booking airlines as my SO has booked all the flights for us but I could ask him.
