Spinnacker Resort HHCalls?

I have been getting a lot of calls from them. No mesgs, but calls almaost daily.

I was home the other day, and decideded for once I'd answer to see what was up.

I was not in the mood to take a TS call and for good reason when the phone rang.

After giving the person a bit of attitude, I finally got her to admit she was calling to get me to visit a timeshare "for a reduced rat of course".

She asked a bunch of questions which I refused to answer and asked her about her actually trying to commet to a TS presentation.

Well yes it was but we only do one call, "then why have I already gotten at least 10"?

Oh that doesn't happen, well I've now had at least 5 more on my caller ID!

Have any other Tuggers been getting these calls?

I have only been to HH twice last was at Waterside that I think is a Spinnacker resort. Both times through an exchange through RCI.

I must say when I'm home to actually see who is calling it is always at a not great time. I'm not always right by the phone, and when I have to run to another part of the house that I can see caller ID it is not always convientant. This time it wasn't and I let the person have it, yet I still get another call yesterday.. Lucky for that person I wasn't home to get the call.

And I can tell you I have a good reason not to have to run to get a call, that day I was waiting for my doctor to call, and I did let the person know!

Anyhow, just wondering if Spinnacker is bothering others>

Next time they call tell the caller "I'm sorry but he died last week." That usually puts a stop to the calls.

Resorts: Marriotts, Manhattan Club, Arubas, numerous HH and others. Too Many!
I just say - sorry not interested - and hang right up.

it is annoying to get calls that you have not interest in, but have to run to answer the call. Problem is, now I use my cell phone number for almost everything, and I really hate it when they call on my cell phone and I have to pay for the minutes.

Spinnaker is absolutely bothering me. We stayed at Waterside last fall and the calls are ongoing. I wouldn't say everyday, but often enough to get plenty irritating. I'm going to have to try something to get them to stop calling.

Do Not Call List

If you register your phone numbers on the "Do Not Call List", would that not stop these calls? My numbers are registered and I never get these calls. Just a thought.

If you were a guest at one of their resorts then they can try to claim they have a business relationship with you. It might be weak but sounds as if they're going to use that until the FTC fines them for the unwanted calls.

I believe water softner companies and others still use the "win a free car" or some other free give away raffle sign up sheets at the mall. I wouldn't doubt it if timeshare companies might use the same thing but only give away vacations. I know when I was at a DRI resort last week there was a monthly raffle for $1000 at a jewlery store. I politely passed on the opportunity to give them my phone number and address on a sheet of paper.

I am rtegistered at do not call, but I still get tons of unwanted calls.

I usually report them.

Got another Spinnacker call yesterday while I was out. If I'm in the mood and home when they call again I may answer it and tell them I'll repoirt them.

Since I exchanged into and not rent from them does that actually mean a business relationship?

I suppose that's what they'll try to use as an excuse for calling and, since you were a "guest", whether exchange or renter they could have valid business relationship in the eyes of the feds.

I wasn't joking when I said to tell them "I'm sorry, Mr. so-and-so passed away last week from a sudden illness." They'll almost always feel bad and remove your name from their file.
