Manhatten club to yankee stadium

What's the best and easiest way to get from Manhatten Club to Yankee Stadium on a Monday afternoon! It's our first time and we're soooo excited! Thanks

Get to Grand Central Station and take the Subway directly to the stadium.
My husband takes our boys every summer and we just did the Stadium tour in Dec. Have fun!!

I don't know if you know this stuff already so if you so, forgive me. Make sure to take the number 4 train to the stadium from Grand Central. The 5 and 6 will just take you on a tour of the Bronx. The stadium is right there and the MTA personnel are there to point you in the right direction.

If you want to avoid the lines getting in, walk around the stadium. Everyone seems to want to go in closest to the subway and they wait. If you have tix at will call, the window is on the far side so you have to walk over there anyway.

You don't need to go to Grand Central Station to get the subway to Yankee Stadium from the Manhattan Club.

An alternative route would be to walk south on 7th Avenue to
the 7th Avenue Subway Entrance near West 53rd St and 7th Avenue.
Take the "D" train from the 7th Avenue station heading "Uptown to 205th St"

Pass 59 Street - Columbus Circle
Pass 125 Street
Pass 145 Street
Pass 155 Street
Get off at 161 Street - Yankee Stadium

Exit near intersection of E 161st St and River Ave

This trip will take about 30 minutes

Have fun

Richard

P.S. A good website for leaning on how to get from Point A to Point B in NYC is
http://www.hopstop.com/
You can put in parameters for subway alone; subway/bus; bus; or walking. Great site.

Yes- do as Richard says- We did it last summer and it was a blast. When you step out into the sunshine you are face to face with Yankee Stadium- totally awesome. Have a great time.

Thanks so much for your help! I knew I could count on "tuggers" to give the best advice! We are so excited to get there, do that, see that, experience everything, yada, yada, yada. If anyone can think of a "must see, do that" please let us know......
