Bryce Resort - anyone been recently?
The reviews here and on RCI are somewhat dated. I am comparing different sections of Bryce for a possible visit.
The Pines Stony Court at Bryce Mt. Chalet High North Senedo Springs Does anyone know if any of Bryce has been renovated? Is one section nicer than another or in a better area? Newer? Any advice? Thanks. |

Since no one else has responded, I'll give you what information I have. My parents purchased a week at The Pines at Bryce Mountain back in 1980. That's how I was introduced to timesharing. I remember going with them to the presentation and everything. (I was one of the good kids who sit there quietly...at least that's how I remember it.)
![]() At any rate, The Pines were old condos that had been built in the 1960s and were upgraded and converted to timeshares in 1980. We thought the place was great at the time. A few years later, my parents upgraded their ownership through the developer to a unit at Senedo Springs. These units were purpose built in the early 1980s and were much nicer than The Pines...but still pretty plain by today's standards. In 2004...after many years...we went back to Bryce Mountain. The timeshares hadn't changed a bit. I mean not at all since we first stayed there in 1980. No upgrades whatsoever. It was like stepping back in a time machine. Our tastes and expectations had certainly changed, however, and we were considerably less excited about the place than we had been originally. In addition, the surrounding area had changed...and not for the better. Bryce Mountain was always a small resort, but it was well kept in the 1980s. By 2004, the restaurant was out of business and the amenities (what few there are) were quite rundown. The whole area seems economically depressed. In summary, I have fond memories of this place from when I was young, but it's not a place I'd recommend. There is very little to do in the area, the resort has seen better days, and the units are really dated. Steve |

We rented a timeshare there 11 years ago. It was an interesting unit because it was a stand-along pedistal house. I remember it had a pool table in the basement. Had two bedrooms that shared a bath and a loft and bath upstairs. This was one of our first timeshare adventures, so at the time we thought it was okay. I would still think the unit was okay.
What we didn't like was the area. There was nothing to do there and no place to eat. We had to drive several miles for a restaurant or decent grocery store. If you like solitude, this is the place to go. I did have a friend that owned a week during ski season and liked it. Sorry I don't know anything current. Nancy |
