How many days in Nashville?

I am going to Nashville for a meeting over a weekend, and would like to allow some extra time before hand to see Nashville. How many days should I allow, and what shouldn't I miss? We like country bars and country dancing. Thanks.

I'd say 2 days, definately catch a show, and plan it well as there is a lot of entertainment to be found.

Don't miss seeing the Opryland hotel and seeing a performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

I just came back from spending 4 days in Nashville and since me or my wife are not in to the country music thing, found Nashville quite unexciting. Even some of the historic stuff isn't done well there. We did enjoy visiting the Hermitage, the Carnton Plantation, and was impressed by the Opryland Resort. West End by Vanderbilt University had some good restaurants.

You will be in heaven since you love country music and dancing. I was there a week and I could still do more!!! Lots of great little bars and music, from Tootsies, to Legends Corner to Wildhorse Saloon and the Nashville Palace. Go on a stars tour, I really thought the cemetary tour was fabulous. Of course don't miss the the Opryland Hotel & the Country Music Hall of Fame, and you must go to the Opry (there is also a little museum there)

For a good country home cooked meal go to Monells. I drove all the way out to Loveless Cafe but thought it was too far for the quality of the food.

Have fun!!!! Shaggy

Two days are plenty and maybe even a day and a half if you are not that into Country Western Music. My daughter lives there and is planning to move. She hates it there. We planned a two day tour and it was torture for her to go into all the CW stores and sites.
