Kona $229 one way from Seattle on Alaska Air
Elsewhere I had mentioned that when Alaska Air started Kona service they would likely offer inaugural fares at great rates. Well ... service starts Nov 17 with $229 fares through Feb 12 (with blackouts and some restrictions of course). Don't know what the added fees are, but those rates should be low enough that it might make sense to make connections through Seattle if you are not lucky enough to live here in the Northwest.

Steve, I received the e-mail from Alaska last night as well. Unfortunately, we already booked our trip to Kona via Honolulu for the end of Sept. Will have to wait for the next trip to get this new connection Seattle to Kona.
