I was interviewed for TV today

S

Steamboat Bill

I was at a private event this afternoon to meet an unnamed political person (possibly our next president) and the local NBC news decided to ask some questions to the people standing in line waiting.

As luck would have it, they selected me as the first person to interview, the journalist said can we ask you a question? and before I even had a change to think about the ramifications of saying something dumb, I said sure.

He simply asked me - If this (unamed) person was to become the next president, what is the first thing they should do?....I thought about it for a second and thought about saying something like..."Resolve the ROFR issue once and for all" but I acutaly blurted out..."Bring home all our troups safely" and then everyone around me started to clap.

Wow...what a relief that I did not say something stupid and embarrassing. Sometimes I surprise myself.

I was once interviewed for tv. I did stumble over my words. Thankfully, the edited version was short and coherent. Sticking a microphone or camera in a person's face can bring out the awkward in most anyone. I'm glad you handled it well.

Good for your Steamboat Willy:clap:

I was so hoping that you would slip and reveal a hint of whom this unnamed candidate was. darn.

Hint.....this unnamed person is not on Medicare and loves Hawaii (and may actually own a timeshare?)

Interestingly most of the other people interviewed said the same thing...."fix the economy"

Bill, great answer.

Wow, Bill! If you can find the interview clip and post it here?

{Removed opinions regarding political candidates. Lets not go there please}

I second, let's see the clip. If you try google news or google video you can often find it and post the web address for us. Sounds like fun.
