I was at a private event this afternoon to meet an unnamed political person (possibly our next president) and the local NBC news decided to ask some questions to the people standing in line waiting.
As luck would have it, they selected me as the first person to interview, the journalist said can we ask you a question? and before I even had a change to think about the ramifications of saying something dumb, I said sure.
He simply asked me - If this (unamed) person was to become the next president, what is the first thing they should do?....I thought about it for a second and thought about saying something like..."Resolve the ROFR issue once and for all" but I acutaly blurted out..."Bring home all our troups safely" and then everyone around me started to clap.
Wow...what a relief that I did not say something stupid and embarrassing. Sometimes I surprise myself.
