Tips for travel clothes

With luggage restrictions/fees seemingly getting worse every day, it's time to redo our travel wardrobes. The companies that specialize in travel clothing (like Travelsmith) don't seem to have caught on that what's needed now are clothes that weigh next to nothing and can be washed in a sink to dry overnight without wrinkles.

I recently bought two "dryflylight" shirts from Ex Officio. I'm happy with their weight and appearance. Haven't tried washing them yet.
I found "Coolmax" socks at LLBean that I'm hoping will be lighter weight and quicker drying than cotton ones.

Now I'm looking for women's "Coolmax" - or similar fabric - short sleeved, crew-neck T-shirts. Does anyone know where I can find those?

Any other tips for travel clothing for the unfriendly skies?

I just did a quick search on www.travelsmith.com for 'Coolmax' and found a bunch of ladies 'T's and stuff. I buy my Coolmax boxers there and have had good experience with them for about 60% of the price of similar at like REI.
I'd also check www.magellans.com

I buy disposable socks and underwear from Magellans. They are 100% cotton, can be washed, and must be popular because they are backordered. Just toss them out, and no smelly items to cart back home. They are about $1.00 a piece.

Or you could pack all your old undies and socks and toss them after you use them

LL Bean has a travel catalog.
Another possibility is a camping catalog such as Campmor - backpackers also have to be able to travel light and do quick wash and dries.

I've found a link here to information about those wishing to travel light and stay in timeshare accommodation.

Our Canadian secret ... revealed

I can unequivocally recommend Tilley Endurables - by far the BEST travel clothing company I have ever used. IMO, there products are far superior to LL Bean, Magellans or Travelsmith. Even though they started life in Canada, they have a US website also that you can access at http://www.tilley.com/.

To put what I am saying into perspective - I am a hardcore road warrior - last year I spent over 120 nights in hotel rooms (mostly on business). Comfortable travel wear (whether casual or upscale) is of critical importance to me, so I spend a whole bunch of time picking up tips from other road warriors and testing out travel products myself. I have never been disappointed with Tilley's products, whether they are in the Adventurer or TilleySilks line.

Any local sporting goods store will have 'coolmax' (which, BTW, is a brand name) clothing -pants, shorts, shirts, socks, etc. This is what runners have been wearing for years!
