Visions of the world

I think you already have your answer - in your other thread. The answer is not specifically whether we have heard of the company; rather it's advice as to how to proceed.

Please read the article suggested in that thread. If you are selling, use one of the resale entities or sites mentioned in the article or included in the list of frequently mentioned timeshare resellers linked in the article.

You can do your own search of TUG (go to the "Search" link on the above blue bar) for the words world and visions. You'll find only five threads (out of almost 50,000 on TUG) that include both words. Two of the threads are yours and the other three have nothing to do with this company. That should give you some idea of how untested they are.

If you stray from the recommended resale entities, don't say you weren't warned!

As an example....

Take a look at how few listings there are at Visions of the World. Pick a resort and find the number of for-sale listings for that resort. Then compare that to the number of listings at a site like Redweek.com. The more listings a site has, the more traffic will be generated by potential buyers who think they might be able to find their dream timeshare.

Also, at many sites (e.g., Redweek), a buyer can contact the owner directly to make an offer, making it easier for a buyer to consider a purchase. Pretend you are a buyer at VW and try to figure out how to make an offer!

Jason is a good friend of mine. He is an honest reseller. I would give him the thumbs up. Just be ware that UK timeshare laws are different than US laws. And, closings take a while when you are dealing with UK sellers. In addition, FIRPTA is a consideration that you as the buyer will risk since closing will be done by a UK company.
