Anyone have a ny decent car rental discount codes for Miami for New Year's week?
I've been checking the car rental prices for Miami and they are terrible! We don't know what we're going to do. I am not used to paying 5 - 6 - $700 a week for a car rental! Especially with gas so high, I woul've expected better rates.
Anyone have a discount code they are willing to share? |

What are you trying to rent? I found a Mazda 6 for ~$400/wk from Hertz (12/28 - 1/4).
But its a little early for sales, so if you wait and keep checking, you should be able to do better. Jet Blue's website offers a Hertz discount (flight not required), but their sale is only thru 12/15. See: http://www.hertzft.com/jetblue/30off2.html But you can get a Hertz discount card at: http://www.hertzft.com/jetblue/jetbl...discounts.html If you have an Am-Ex card, check out Am-Ex Selects at: http://www.americanexpressofferzone..../Homepage.aspx If you are over 50, join AARP and get discounts at -- http://www.aarp.org/aarp_benefits/offer_travel/ Last edited by Talent312 : July 20, 2008 at 08:08 PM. Our wee will be December 28th thru January 4th. They are around $400 - $800.
The $30 off doesn't apply after December 15th. Thanks for the help though. If you have any more ideas, pass 'em along! |

Did you look at http://www.carrentals.com/?cid=11850&l=mia&chan=mia ? Keep checking because the rates change daily. At the moment they are at $533 with tax for economy.Good luck.

Another idea: If you can spend a day w/o a vehicle, you could rent at an off-airport location which usually have lower rates. The off-site lots, however, are often only open on weekdays. Enterprise (www.enterprise.com) will send someone to pick you up from your hotel/resort, re-deliver you when you return the vehicle and an Intermediate vehicle from 12/29 (M) - 1/2 (F) would run you less than $150.

The problem is that a lot of promos expire at year end. If you are not returning the vehicle until 2009, then you don't qualify for those promos.
That being said, try the promo codes for various companies at http://www.traveldepot.net/car/net/car/ |
