Logan Airport Parking

I need to park my car for 10 days at the Logan airport. I have googled airport parking and looks like I have 2 options:

Economy Lot parking at the airport for $153
Preflightparking.com for $114

Has anyone had experience parking at any of these places? Is the economy on site parking safer, better, more convenient than preflightparking.com(the lot is 2 miles from the airport) to warrant $40 difference in price?

Thanks for your advice.

Will you be staying in the Boston area on eather side of your trip? if so check out the hotels/ motels in the Revere Ma. area. most of them have park/sleep/fly packages and their shuttle vans drop you right at the door to the terminal, then pick you up upon your return. it's a 5-10 min ride from revere to Logan sans traffic. even if you don't use the room it may be cheaper? I have not used the economy lot except once at Logan. I got home fairly late in the evening and I wasn't happy that there was no one around the lot when I arrived on the shuttle. It backs up to neighborhoods and I was not completely at ease, walking to my car. I have used the regular parking garage ($24 per day) for business travel - convenient, but expensive.

For our own travel, we generally park at Alewife and take the T to the airport. That saves a bundle. However for our last trip, we had a very early morning flight so we parked at the Preflight lot. It was very convenient, with the shuttle driving up right behind us as we pulled into a parking spot. The shuttles run every 5 minutes or so. It is also easy to find the shuttle at the airport to get back to the lot. If you go to their website, there is also a discount coupon. It saved us a few more dollars. I arrived back at that lot in the daylight but I do think that I would feel more comfortable there arriving at night since they drop you off right at your car.

There is a Thrifty Car Rental lot which provides parking and is a less expensive than parking at the airport. You would need to take a shuttle to/from the airport. The shuttle operates 24/7.

Whenever we fly, it's out of T.F.Green in Warwick. We park at the Airport Valet for the week ~ they also have a location at Logan. It's cheap enough, manned 24-7, and they'll shuttle you back & forth to the airport at any time. Just drive in when you leave, they'll transfer your luggage, and shuttle you right there. When you land, just get your luggage and call them ~ they'll be right there to pick you up. And when you get back they transfer all. Check out their website ~ there's coupons there too!!

We've used both this past year. I preferred PreFlight over the economy lot because they guide you to a parking spot so you don't have to search and the shuttle bus picks you up and drops you off at your car so you don't have to lug you bags a long distance which you would at the economy lot. I thought they were the same in price. PreFlight does have coupons on line you can print. I though PreFlight was pretty secure and maybe more than the economy lot.

We use Preflight all the time and yes, go on line to print out a coupon. We have also twice stayed in a hotel the night before and had free parking. Some places are a week/ some allow more. Use Airport Hotel Reservations, www.buyreservations.com The closer to the airport, the more expensive the hotel.
