Mail golf clubs to Mexico?

Last Feb I went to Cabo to play golf. I arrived,my golf clubs did not. On the 5th day they were delivered to my timeshare. On the way back to New york via American Air thru La california(again) they were lost. This time they were never found. I filed a claim for $2400. I was told I would have to wait 12 weeks for them to find my clubs before they could process the claim. Im a golf nut and play in the winter. They adjusted the cash settlement to just under $1300 after 3 months. I guess Im lucky I got that. To avoid a baggage nightmare this year, Has anyone mailed the golf clubs to the timeshare, and then mailed them back. At least they could be insured for the full amount. And who would I use? UPS, DHL, FEDEX, US postal service? Probably about 50 lbs. And how long to get to Cabo if mailed? Thanks, any suggestions appreciated.

Homeowners claim?

When I send a package to Mexico, I send it via DHL. The offices are centrally located and easy to find(at least in PV and Guadalajara). I prefer to pick it up rather than rely on delivery. You can check their locations on the DHL website.

As far as your lost(stolen) golf clubs, did you file a claim under your Homeowners policy? Most would cover that loss minus the deductible.

Sending stuff to Mexico

The people who work at the resorts have told me that DHL is the preferred service, at least in Cabo and Mazatlan.
