Resorts: Diamonds, RHC, Plantation Resort Myrtle Beach, Outerbank Beach Club
Oak N' Spruce Resort

Heading to Oak N' Spruce in South Lee in a week. Have read review reports and other info from Tripadvisor. More questions though:

1. Is there any particular unit I should ask? Are there any newer better, refurnished sections? And, with a balcony? We are a party of 4 adults and 2 dogs (1lb and 13 lbs).

2. Review reports repeatedly mention Tanglewood. What is special with Tanglewood?

Resorts: Smuggler's Notch Presidential Villas
Smile Oak n Spruce

Stayed there last year. Greatest thing was were were able to bring our dog! We had one of the newer units across the street from the original resort. Had to cross the street to use pool and other facilities on site. But the unit was nice and new! Tanglewood is great place for music .... we had lawn seats and brought blanket and snacks and enjoyed awesome classical music under the stars. Also recommned Norman Rockwell Museum. If you are into a short drive, there is a nice museum in Pittsfield where you will also find the chain restaurants if you prefer those. Prime Outlets is in Lee for some discount shopping.

Have fun! Great time of year to be in the Berkshires!

There are multiple theaters as well as Jacob's Pillow, the foremost modern dance venue in the Northeast (in summer) in the Berkshires. Lenox, MA also has a lovely resort called Cranwell that has a golf school and a public restaurant in a beautiful setting. Pittsfield also has the Colonial Theater--recently restored to its glory as one of the country's finest examples of theater architecture.

Take a ride up to Williamstown for some more of the best summer theater in America, as well as the Clark art gallery. Then a few minutes east in North Adams you will find the Mass. Museum of Contemporary Art--spectacular.

If you are less culturally oriented, make your way to the Hudson River and up to Albany to take the AquaDucks amphibious historical tour of this fascinating capital city. Enjoy minor league baseball in Troy, NY or the NY State museum in Albany with a working antique carousel if you have little kids.

Hudson, NY is a world class capital of fantastic antiques.

Great Barrington, MA is a great little town with an intact main street that looks like a Hollywood set.

The Berkshires and the upper Hudson Valley are a summer wonderland.
