where can i find a charity to donate my time share to without paying someone a fee to find a buyer? i was told by a gentleman at sell my timeshare i would have to pay him to find someone to buy my week so that proceeds could then be given to the charity, is this the only way to donate a TS

You can sell your timeshare or give it away your self.

Read TUG on selling your timeshare. Tell us what resort what size and and what week you own and someone on TUG can tell you how hard it will be to sell. Spend $15 and join TUG for a year and you can advertise for free. I gave away a timeshare I wasn't useing through a free Tug add.It isn't that hard.

Please don't post that info. - it will be deleted so as not to appear to be advertising. - Thanks.

OK so how does he get some help?

He may own a red hot week that will be easy to sell or a dog he will have to pay someone to get rid of. So how can he observe the proprieties and get some help on these questions?
He could join TUG and ask for people willing to give him specific advice to contact him privately I Guess.Any other Ideas?

He should follow the link in Denise's first post to get advice on how to establish an asking price, where to offer it for sale, how to avoid scams, etc. And he can ask questions here on issues that aren't clear or that are not addressed by that "how to sell" article.

It has been TUG BBS policy for many years that someone seeking to sell a week should not specify the details of the week here without risking that the info will deleted. If we didn't have such a policy, every seller, in addition to placing ads here and elsewhere, could advertise on these forums by simply saying "I am seeking to sell an oceanfront week 28 at Smooth Sailing Resort and need help in how to go about it." We treat such posts as unallowable ads and edit out the details.
