Hi
I am trying to get some information on Marriott timeshares that are no longer run by Marriott because of owner disputes. If you know of a list of them please send them. Thanks

Spicebush and Swallowtail in Hilton Head come to mind, as well as Streamside Aspen and Streamside Cedar in Vail.

I think there was also a resort in Longboat Key, Fla., and one in the Bahamas.

Paridise Island Beach Club in the Bahamas

Hi
I am trying to get some information on Marriott timeshares that are no longer run by Marriott because of owner disputes. If you know of a list of them please send them. Thanks

All of the resorts (or phases of resorts) that are no longer managed by MVCI were not built by MVCI. In the late 80's and early 90's they were looking at expansion, and aquired management rights to these resorts, but walked away in most cases (or forced the hoa's hand) due to the expense of converting a resort to the new "Marriott" standard, that increasingly gets difficult with older disparate resorts.

The cookie cutter models that they now build are done to save on construction, design, and maintenance costs (which usually works).

To my knowledge, and I do have direct experience, they have never been booted or left a MVCI built resort. That being said, it can happen, but it takes a majority of owners, many of which would not want to lose the marriott brand. (not agreeing or disagreeing, just stating the facts).

AOC was taken over mid construction, so it was not built exactly to Marriott's standards. It is a shame that Marriott is not going after the contractor and essentially sticking it to the members.

I have pared down my MVCI ownership over the past 3 years due to service issues, but I am glad I did now seeing the troubles.

Its really sad

It is really sad and if you look at the owners website you can see Marriott has changed the president of the homeowners group. Funny how those things happen isnt it.
