Jetblue travel passes - real or a scam
I have a unit for rent, and someone inquired about whether I would be willing to accept Jetblue travel passes in swap. The person claims to be a Jetblue employee.
My sensors for "possible scam" are triggered, but if the passes are legit it might be worthwhile for me. Anyone have any experiences with Jetblue passes? Does anyone know if these are like some other airline passes I recall from several years ago in which they can't be sold or bartered and could be cancelled if they suspect that bartering has occurred? I did a search on "Jetblue passes" at FlyerTalk and didn't return anything of value.

Steve -
Try doing a Google search for three words: JetBlue, passes and employee. Here is an example hit. ...or change one of the words to buddy. Sounds as though it's not a scam, but there are some potential pitfalls. |

Even if the passses are legit, the question is whether someone else, other than the person that they were given to, could use them. Most airlines I believe only allow the owner of the pass to use it and forbid the pass being sold / traded etc etc

Steve,
Perhaps you remember this story - JetBlue's Jet Blues about a Buddy Pass passenger The pass has too many restrictions for me. I'd pass. Richard |
