Winter Golf on Hilton Head
Just arrived on the island this past week and will be here for four months!! I have been exploring winter golf options and have found Rose Hill (Bluffton) to be only $30 a round (and they give you a dozen golf balls) and you can get discount coupons fron Hilton Head Guest Services (now located in Fresh Market Plaza) for Eagles and Crescent (both in Bluffton) for $35. Fewer deals avaiable on the isand itself, but after 1PM you pay $39 for Golden Bear and CC of Hilton Head and $22 after 2 PM. I think these might expire 2/28, but I'm not sure.

.I was looking to get away from the northeast (RI) for a few days myself. Thinking about FL, but that's there prime time and greens fees can get a bit steep. What are the daytime temps like? Fifty degrees this time of year is almost "shorts" weather (as if I didn't have to tell you that). |

Temps have ben cold on HHI - supoosedly coldest in 20 years. It's been in the 20s in the early morning (when I walk the dog) and have gotten to the
40s these past few days. It's supposed to moderate soon and be in the mid-60s by the weekend (we'll see).. But definitely better than single digits and teens that we left behind in Rochester. |

Since you will be there for four months, I would suggest that you look at Club Key at www.clubkey.com. It's a book with discounted rates at a number of courses.
