Hi- I have heard wonderful things about Xcaret. Friends of ours who will be with us have a 2 1/2 yr old. Is Xcaret good for them?

I have been twice and loved it!! While we had no children with us I would certainly bring my 2 year old granddaughter if I had the chance.

I just came back with my 4 year old and 7 year old. If you treat Excaret like a trip to the zoo, you'll be fine. I wouldnt hesitate at all.

There is tons to see and do and even a small child will find lots of it interesting - butterfly garden, dancing, dolphins - BUT to see/do it all, or even most, is a LONG day. Be sure you have a comfy stroller, plenty of snacks/drinks, and are prepared to take breaks. I wouldn't do it with a whiney child, but I would with one who either has a good deal of tolerance for a long day or one who just falls asleep as needed.

We were there with 2 5-year olds last month. There is plenty to do for children of all ages, such as the animals and the short float ride in the river; but the most fun for the kids was playing at the beach at the lagoons. We were glad they enjoyed that, but we wondered if we had spent our money all that wisely given the number of beaches in the area!
