SVO "Owners' Update" Experience Write-Up

Hi Gang,

Staying rigidly on task these days, here is a write-up of a former SVO owner's recent "owners' update" experience at Vistana Villages.

It spells out pretty well what to expect.

Does anybody know anything about the "Grand Vacation Club" the SVO salesman secretly tried to sell the writer for $2519? It sounds like a total scam being conducted by SVO salesfolks right under SVO's nose.

It sounds like the salesman has a scheme on the side. Perhaps he's bought up a bunch of the TSs at an employee discount and is trying to lock folks into renting them for $2500/year.

Sounds exactly like the owners update I attended a few months ago at SVR (only the names have changed)

Actually, I had a good time telling them the resale prices and watching them explode! (like they didn't already know) and then they would explain with figures and arrows how I was wrong

that was a riot and oh so true. DO not ever buy one of those club things they are a real rip-off . did that before we understood our timeshares. big mistake. lost $1500. and gave up the membership when we found out we didn't nned to own itif you already own timeshare. we did get 2 weeks out of it that i gave to some friends.
