Is there a car rental company close to the Ferry so I can drop off the car? How far is the Ferry from Westin Maui Ocean Villas? Is it walking distance? Is there a bus to take us there? We will be staying at the WKORN. Which is the closest car rental company so we can drop off our car there and perhaps take a taxi to the Ferry.

The ferry dock is in the Lahaina Harbor, and there are some rental car companies in Lahaina, so it just depends on which Co. you use.

It is a 10 min. drive from the WKORV - definitely not within walking distance.

There is a bus. There is also a small group of rental car agencies across the highway and about 1/4 mi. north of WKORV where you can drop off your car.

Have you made plans for Lanai? It is far less developed than Maui, so you need to have some plans before you arrive.

Just a tip - the Westin Maui is the hotel, so when you call a cab, be sure you specify the Westin Timeshares or the Westin Villas, to be clear.

I booked 1 night at Four Seasons (Christmas Night). I wanted to have 2 nights but I am not sure why nothing is available for for Dec 26 - Dec 31.
Current plan is stay 1 week at Westin Timeshare and 1 night at Lana'i and 2 nights at Sheraton. I am hoping to change it to 1 week at Westin Timeshare and 2 nights at Lana'i and 1 night at Sheraton. I hope the hotel will open up with more availability later.

I can't figure out what to do with the car.

1. return car back to the rental company (don't know which one closest to the Ferry or Westin Timeshare. - take taxi to Ferry and return
to Sheraton and take shuttle to OGG .

2. Keep the car but need to figure where to park the car rental car
and drop off the car at OGG.

Since you are flying in and out of Kahului, (45 min. from your accommodations) and you are only staying on Lanai 1-2 nights, it's probably easiest just to park your rental car in Lahaina while you are on Lanai and pick it up when you come back, so you have transportation to your hotel and then back to the airport. There is free parking on Front Street and Prison Street near the harbor. You can also check to see if your rental car company will let you leave the car at their Lahaina lot while you are on Lanai.

It looks like Hertz has a rental office in Lahaina, and Hertz, National, Alamo, Avis, Enterprise, Dollar, and Budget have a rental office near WKORV at -

11 Halawai Drive

THanks. I will check it out. I most likely just keep the car. It is simple. I just need a secure place to park it (near the ferry).

Maria - I got that info. by doing a Google search for "car rental Lahaina Maui."

It is probably cheaper to just park the car while you are on Lanai, because the shuttle from Ka'anapali to the airport is $50 per person + tax and tip.

And I think the cab from WKORV to the ferry is about $15, + the cab from the ferry to the Sheraton would be about $12.

So you are looking at close to $140 in cost, if you drop off the car before leaving for Lanai. You will have to compare that to the cost of keeping the rental car for the extra days.

We've used this shuttle - http://www.mauishuttle.com/

As far as secure parking, I don't think that exists in Lahaina. I'd consider renting from Hertz and leaving it on their lot in Lahaina - although Hertz tends to be expensive!
