Question Trapp Family Lodge late April

I just got an exchange for my sister's family to the TFL for the last week of April. They live in New Jersey and have kids age 6 and 8. Is that the shoulder season there? Will they find enough to do?

Many thanks for your help. I will have to cancel in 24 hours if that is not a good option.

I believe this would be considered 'mud season' - after skiing and before the spring/summer season.
It will be cold for outdoor activities.....it wouldn't be my choice to visit at that time but the resort itself is very nice.
I have visited Williamsburgh that time of year and it would be a better choice weather and activity wise - and not that much more in drive time for them.

I agree. April is not a great time - though of course you never know about the weather - but in general there will not be nearly as mumch to do as in winter, summer or fall.

With kids 6 and 8 - I think they will not be all that excited for TFL that time

'mud season' is exactly that. Altho you may find some mud racing going on - kinda fun to watch.

One thought - Massanutten VA- the kids will find more than enough to do there - It's not peak season so you should have no problem getting 2 bdrm (Summit or Woodstone) - Indoor waterpark and pelnty of other on site activities
