Hotel near Denver, PA
Is there anyone familiar with Denver, PA. We need to get a hotel room, and it looks like Lancaster may be the closest to Denver. Whenever I go there, I have stayed with my cousin, but I will need a hotel room now. I am certain there are no timeshares in the area, otherwise I would have looked for "Last Call" on RCI.
I have to unexpectedly visit for a funeral. My cousin's husband who was only 44 was killed, last night, in a car accident. It is a tragic situation, as he is the head wrestling coach at his daughter's high school, and is absolutely loved in the community. He is honestly, one of the best guys I've ever known. His wife, my cousin, is stranded in Italy on business, there is a terrible snow storm there, and they can't get her out. At this point, the entire family is in shock, and we are trying to make plans. If anyone can help me out... please let me know. I will start visiting a few travel sites, and find something on there. I just want to be as close as possible to my cousins home. Thanks so much, Kathleen |

I'm not familiar with their names, but there are several motels just off the PA Turnpike in the area of rt 222.

I am so, so sorry for your terrible loss.
We stayed at this Courtyard by Marriott in Lancaster a couple of years ago and I thought it was excellent. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...nsylvania.html I'm not sure if that is close enough to Denver, Pa. Here are the TripAdvisor hotels for Denver. I would try the Holiday Inn first. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g5...ia-Hotels.html I'll be thinking of you and yours at this difficult time. |

My girls soccer team played Cocalico HS about 7 years back, and we stayed over night. We stayed in Lancaster, though, since our game the following day was in the city. There are a couple of motels around Denver, I think, though. Lancaster is about 20 min. away.
I'm sorry for your loss. Hope the hotel search goes smoothly. |

Thanks Everyone,
Your help and prayers are appreciated. We ended up booking at Holiday Inn in Denver. It was a good choice, as my extended family is booking up a great deal of the hotel. I rarely see them, as we now reside in Minnesota, and they all live in Michigan. It will be great to see everyone, but under awful circumstances. Now I have the 20 hour drive to look forward too.
