Sell My Timeshare Now.com

Has anyone dealt with an outfit called Sell My Timeshare Now.com? If so, can you tell me about your experience with them?

They charge an outrageous fee to list, so the concensus here is not to pay the price. I see inventory with no takers, and very old information on the listings, so I doubt they sell many.

I inquired myself recently, thinkng perhaps they would give a big discount to a known TUG member, but it was just a long selling spiel and no discount. Stupid of them, because if I told others that it worked, think of what I would be saying to you right now.

They don't even think enough of their own site to challenge a frequent poster here to list a week at a reasonable price to see what happens.

They put a lot of effort into attracting sellers to list their timeshare for sale, but once you pay the listing fee, they don't put any effort into marketing your specific unit. You will get a very basic add on their site and that is it. You are still responsible for responding to potential buyers.

The key to selling a timeshare is a reasonable asking price, which is usually pennies on the dollar. If you own a branded timeshare (Marriott, Hilton, etc) it will be worth more than that, but don't expect to get anything close to what you paid when you bought it from the developer.

There are a lot of cheaper alternatives to the upfront fee companies. There is a "how to sell" sticky at the top of this forum that has some good information.
