Owners at Church Street Inn

Is anyone concerned about the relentless increase in maintenance fees since Festiva Resorts took control a few years ago?
Apparently, we don't have an HOA to look out for owners. Any suggestions or insights?

Pay high MF's or sell, Festiva gives you no other choice. Festiva votes their employees or shills onto the board, then Festiva votes themselves to be the Mgt company at every resort they can gain control of. Or else they buy the resort or enough points or weeks to make themselves the mgt company.Your resort is not an isolated example IMO. If you love your resort, stay and pay. If the costs get too high to justify, dump it.

Festiva jacks the MF's and assessments as high as they can at every resort they gain control of, and unless they go broke (could we get so lucky), or lose a major law suit, nothing will change their corporate strategy. Other than Wastegate I don't believe that there is a developer more hated here on TUG than Festiva. I know because they purchased inventory and undeveloped land at a resort where I own 2 weeks. They are now the management company, majority voteholder, and they have taken over the board. Of course now they are in charge and they are talking about possible MF increases and the need to upgrade (translation assessments). I love my resort enough to put up with Festiva to a certain point, so I am not selling....... at least not yet.
