I may be interested in exchanging into Sedona this fall and would like to have comments about the Premiere Vacation Club and Sedona Vacation Club at Los Abrigados. First, this looks like a dated resort, - when was it refurbished, updated ? Interval offers no explanation about the difference between the two parts. Which one is preferable? Second, what exactly is provided as 'limited kitchen facilities'? Is there more than one bathroom in a one bdr. unit ? Any laundry facilities ? Third, are all units accessible without climbing stairs ? This would be an important consideration for one person in our party. Any other comments will be appreciated.

We stayed at SD3 last March (a one bdrm JED), and we liked it so much we will be returning March 2010 to SDN (also one bdrm JEK). I don't know what the difference is, but probably nothing significant. There are laundry facilities on sight - not in the unit we occupied. There are ground floor units, but not sure if it makes a difference between 1 and 2 bdrm units. The 1 bdrm we stayed in had a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, counter top burners but no stove. Only 1 bathroom. My wife especially like the exercise classes available at the spa. The location is great and the staff was very helpful. I would suggest calling the resort to answer specific questions.

Lost Avocados...

aka Los Abrigados...
There is only one resort -- there are two entities that own/manage the property. The separate part is the INN at Los Abrigados which would always be a studio.

Some of the downstairs units can be very dark...depending on the temperature outside that can be a good thing.

This is one of those resorts where you will not spend much time in your room. But, if you WANT to cook full meals, this is not the place for you.

The pool, classes, etc. are great. I painted my first (and only) watercolor during an outdoor class several years ago.

We love Sedona.
