Safari West Wildlife near Napa Valley?

Has anybody been here? Is it worth it? Any opinions?

I live not to far from there and have been there a couple of times on school field trips. Personally I think $65 per person is a lot. It is nice but not like San Diego Wild Animal Park which you can get in for $35. Price aside it is a fun outing.

Yes, you can get into the wild animal park fo around $35...but if you want to go on a "photo" caravan tour its $90!

The only thing the two have in common in the animals. Safari West is extremely small compared to San Diego Wild Park. It is not all about commercialism like SDWP. It is small and quaint, but if you have children under 11 I am sure they will enjoy it.

I live approx 10 miles away and have been there twice, which is enough. It is a great experience.

We also live near Safari West but have not visited. My sister, a travel writer who has been on multiple African safaris, thought that this was a fabulous attraction and we've been meaning to go. She recommended staying at the lodge overnight.
