From reviewing other threads, I'm getting that the Bella Village may have older units, but are conveniently located near the pool etc.

Our family of 3 is going next week on a 5 day / 4 night promotional tour in a 1 bdrm, [which we've tacked onto a full week's stay at a Marriott where we own around the corner, where we will have the comfort of our usual 2 bdrm] and am torn as to whether we'd be better off asking to stay in one of the newer / refurb'd bldgs.

Any suggestions in this regard [i.e. better off going for a newer / refurb'd bldg, rather than older just to be close to the pool] would be greatly appreciated...

As someone on a promotional pkg. you will not have any priority to ask for a specific location, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

We're going to SVV in a couple months (using StarOptions) but specifically requested Bella due to it's location. Several who had stayed there in the not too distant past told me it had not become run down so we'll find out for ourselves soon.

However, I've also been told that the 1br units in some of the other locations have 2 baths (or at least 1.5) which could be important to you. Maybe someone else can chime in and tell me if this is accurate. Like Denise says though, it may be moot

With just the wife & I, 1 bath is fine. I hope the hot tubs are good :whoopie:

Sure, the Bella villa's are more convenient to the main pool, but the Key's are also pretty close to the main pool. We stayed in a 1 bedroom in the Key's, a year ago and it was very nice. We actually loved being away from the noise around the main pool complex.

Walking from the Key's to the main pool is stunningly beautiful, so walking to the pool is a non-issue for my family. We're going back this May, and I've reserved a 2 bdrm in the Key's. I'll be very disappointed if we get reassigned to the Bella. I'm sure the Bella units are beautiful, but its really not all that far from the main pool from most sections.

Don't sweat it, it's a nice place, no matter where you land.

We stayed in the Keys last June in a 1 bedroom... we had a full bath in the master & an additional 1/2 bath as well. The walk to the main pool was no big deal & it was a lovely walk! We loved staying there.
