Does no one else think she is a wonderful singer? I'd take her any day over the stuff I've heard on AI this season.
 
cool! In singing the little child name Charisse is also good. A big voice for a small kid.

I think if I were a Bon Jovi fan I would like this more but it didn't move me as much as Burke's.
 
I absolutely love this song - one of the best ever.

I haven't heard a rendition that I don't like - including Leonard Cohen's, even though he can't sing.

I, too would love to hear a version by Kurt Nilsen. He's awesome.
 
We are big Cohen fans and glad to see the remakes. They're all good. Brings back the memories when I used to listen to his work on end. And I don't think he has a bad voice at all. Just diffferent and slower, and IMO, more feeling. I can see him up there in his dingy hotel room writing.
 
I love the k.d. lang version on Hymns of the 49th Parallel - all songs written by Canadian composers (including 1 or 2 by herself) - one of her best collections IMO.

I think it was called Xtreme (or something) and is a British version of AI?? :shrug: Simon Cowell was one of the judges at any rate.

I heard Burke's Hallelujah as the background music on some other video I was watching (can't even remember what). I was so blown away with her voice that I went searching through the various Hallelujah artists to find her. Didn't even know her name or who she was--I just went by sound until I found her.
