How many LCC's have you flown?

How many low cost carriers have you flown, and how did you rate them?

I have flown on nine so far, all based in Europe, and would rate them in this order:

Aegean
Sky Europe
Wizzair
Windjet
Germanwings
Air Baltic
EasyJet
MyAir
RyanAir

I agree with your assessment of Aegean.
[xATAx] Meant Air Tran -- good
Southwest -- better
Jet Blue -- best

Resorts: USA: Cypress Pointe I & II (Orlando FL), Crown Point Condos (Horseshoe Bend AR). S. Africa: Lowveld Lodge (Mpumalanga).
Independence Air.

$44 IAD to MCO.

Also $44 MCO back to IAD.

Even when we flew both ways on those sale-priced $44 tickets, the planes weren't full.

The company went out of business in January 2006.

So it goes.

Have Flown Spirit and Southwest.
Flew Spirit before they moved their call centre offshore and their reputation went down the drain and they were okay then but I have heard so many horror stories since about cancelled flights and the nickel and diming of passengets that I would not want to take a chance on them any more.
I never thought of Southwest in the same catagory of LCC as Ryanair or Spirit. We have used them for our Florida flights since we dumped Spirit.
Any US carrier could be called an LCC if you compare their to ticket prices to anything you can get flying out of Toronto!

We have flown Air Tran, Southwest and Jetblue, and been very pleased with all of them. Of the three, Southwest is our very favourite.

Southwest: Best of the best. Will take SWA in preference over any US legacy carrier.

Some European LCC that operated a flight from Faro to Gatwick, under code share with British Airways: adequate.

Allegiant: Lowest of the low. Would not travel on this airline again, even for free.

3 for me

Easy Jet- no problems in '07: Orly-Rome, Rome-Basel
RyanAir-okay in '01: Stansted-Knock
Aer Lingus-okay in '04: Edinborough-Dublin

We've booked Aer Lingus from Dublin to Lisbon- the advertised fare of @31 euros escalated to almost 90 euros each with the fees, plus handling charge, plus prepaid baggage charge, plus seat selection charge. I hate when the low advertised price doesn't include the basic fees at least.

None in the US although lately AA is feeling like a LCC!

Cool

Air Tran is my fave of the three I've used, then EasyJet, then RyanAir (the "Have Depends, Will Travel" airline).

BMI (not a true LCC but at a 30 pound all in RT fare LHR to VCE twice now, it counts to me)
BMIbaby

Most of the time if I have to pay myself traveling in the States, I can get very cheap fares on mainline airlines as my schedule is extremely flexible.

Almost all of my travel is either business (paid for by someone else) or FF miles.

Cheers

It's really hard for me to even put JetBlue and Southwest in the same category. That said, I fly AA for the free trips to Hawaii. But sometimes SW is just so darn cheap if forgo my AA miles.
